About me! I live in Hampshire in a small very pretty market town and literally make these dogs at my kitchen table, although my husband promises me the garden shed WILL be converted into a workroom. I live in hope!
All aspects of art interest me, painting, drawing and sculpture. A few years ago I was lucky enough to take part in the Anthony Gormley installation on the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square.
Animals too have played a big part in my life, from family pets, horses and rescued animals from terrible conditions when we lived in the Middle and Far East, the Mediterranean and, shockingly, even closer to home.
We now have a little rescue terrier who was the first model for needle felted dogs! Tilly is convinced that she exists to make us laugh so I have no shortage of funny and endearing poses to model my work on.
My other interest is to promote altruistic kidney donation. Two years ago I donated a kidney and whilst donor and recipient are totally anonymous to one another, I do know that my recipient is now leading a full and fulfilling life as opposed to the life of dialysis he had before.
The donation process was a positive and life enhancing experience for me and I would urge other people to consider it. Please visit www.giveakidney.org to find out more.
